JHS Construction Update
30.01.09
Just over a month after breaking ground on Chanleas Dai’s new junior high school, the building construction is progressing quickly and smoothly. The construction crew of eight men and two women (who seemed to be the busiest of the bunch) has completed the foundation and floor, was nearly finished building the concrete columns, and had started erecting the brick wall. We are extremely grateful for all those who have donated to the school. Without your help, this project literally would not have gotten off the ground!
Though we are extremely pleased with the progress thus far, PEPY has yet to meet its fundraising goals for the junior high school project. In order to complete the school on schedule and continue all of our existing educational programs this year, we need to find additional funding. If you would like to contribute to the project (or encourage your friends to do so!), please donate online or pay by check in the US.
We will continue to post construction updates on our team journal in the coming months. We extend endless thanks to all those who are making secondary education a reality for hundreds of students of Chanleas Dai!
