Chanthieng, Leakhena, Veasna, Chhai Neang and Lyhon
PEPY is proud to announce that we have new teachers from our current group of scholars that successfully passed the entrance exam at the
Provincial Teacher Training College in Siem Reap. The Provincial Teacher Training College, or PTTC, in Siem Reap is one of the 18 teacher training colleges under the direct supervision of the Teacher Training Department (TTD) of the Ministry of Education and Youth. This college is responsible for training primary school teachers in the provinces of Siem Reap and Utdormeanchey. The emphasis in teacher training at PTTC revolves around six (6) activities, mainly: moral and professional education, art and sports, life skills, pedagogical practice and action research. Upon successful completion of the PTTC training, graduates are awarded a Certificate of Pedagogical Training qualifying them to teach in the Grades 1 to 6.
The successful teacher trainees are from PEPY’s Scholarship Program Promotion 5. Chanthieng, Leakhena, Chhai Neang and Lyhon joined PEPY last November as a part of our new batch of scholarship students from Kralanh and Srei Snom. Veasna is from Siem Reap, she joined PEPY’s Learning Center as an ICT and English Language student last July. The same with our scholars who made it to the Battambang Regional Teacher Training Center, our new teacher trainees consider being admitted as a major achievement. It is the start of achieving their dreams and becoming effective guides to the young people of Cambodia through quality education.
We are happy that they are able to pursue their dreams within two months of joining us. We wish them good luck and good health and are looking forward to their success and future contribution to Cambodia!
